Day One: Building your EVP    
 
After day 1 the participants will understand what an EVP is and how it works. They understand what steps to take to define an EVP for their own organization.
 What is an EVP?
    • Understand the difference between employer brand and employee value proposition
    • How it is applicable for the whole employee life cycle:
 consider, commit, contribute, commend
 How does the EVP work?
    • Use the purpose of your organization and have a clear picture of your required candidates (future employees)
    • Create deep candidate & employer insights
    • Touch their heart & mind
What are the benefits?
   • Lower recruitment costs
   • Better quality of hire
   • Increased retention rates
   • Higher engagement scores 
What makes you unique? 
   •    What are the key differentiators for your culture and values 
   • Define ways to generate this within your organization
What do employees think?
   • Why did you join, what did you expect, why do you stay
   • Define ways to generate these answers within the organization 
Create your EVP
   • Work on a first draft of an EVP, focusing on the unique character
Who do you need? 
   • Understand what target groups are
   • Analyze the strategy of your own organization
   • Define ways to know who your relevant target groups are 
Who are they? 
   • Understand what is relevant to know from your target group
   • Define ways to create deeper insights

Day Two: Bring your EVP to life 

After day 2 the participants will understand how to implement the EVP within each step of the employee cycle.
Do they consider us? 
   • How to use the insights in your target group to connect to them and ensure they consider you as a potential employer 
   • What is your organization doing already and where can you improve
Will they commit to us?
   • Ensure each elements of the recruitment process is in line with your employee value proposition: 
job descriptions, job boards, career site, recruitment process, selection criteria
   • Analyze a current job description and generate improvements 
How do they contribute?
   • How to align performance appraisals and learning & development with your employee value proposition, increasing engagement and profitability. 
Will they recommend us? 
   • How can you ensure that both current employees and former employees become an ambassador for your organization and help you become the employer of choice
Manage the risks
   • Learn what might impact the effect of the EVP
   • Understand what is required to create and implement an effective EVP 
Participants will analyze their own organization which enables them to immediately apply what they learn and understand where improvements can be made. For this purpose participants are asked to bring the following information of their organization (if available):
   • Mission, vision and strategy
   • Values
   • A print screen of the career site
   • A job description used for external candidates
In addition we will look at practices from other organizations like Huawei, several Chinese banks, Google and Lenovo. The Employee Value Proposition of Starbucks will be used as a best practice example throughout the training
